He's never fought at 154 in his entire career!

I think you're getting him mixed up.

The lightest he ever weighed was 159

He's weighed at Lhw 8 times in fact

He weighed 166 on his debut

They should've put this on the Porter Broner undercard.

I am not seeing weights listed anywhere on that page. It is simply linking me to Paul's main boxrec page. Perhaps it's user error caused by my lack of knowledge of how to properly navigate boxrec. If so, please explain how I would see the weight for that fight.

Cheers for the info! I just registered an account with boxrec but it takes a while for the account to be activated. Could you possibly post a link that shows the full page with all of Paul's weights if it exists. I have several sources that conflict with that weight for the Ambler fight as well as the claim that Paul only fought 5 times at 160 or below.

On boxrec, you have to sign up to see weights.

Used to be that you could see them without signing up but now you have to be a member. It only takes a couple of minutes

    Anything between 155-160 is MW.
    Anything between 161-168 is SMW
    Anything between 169-174 is LHW
    Anything between 175-200 is CW
Anything N of 200 is HW.

We wont play semantics with the 160 1/2's or the 168 1/2s.

Smith has fought 24 times as a SMW. While many of those wieghts are far below the 168 limit, it's still technically a SMW bout.

    8X as a MW.

    6X as a LHW

    And 2X as a CW.

I maintain he is a SMW, although like most JOURNEYMAN, he fights who he can, where he can, at whatever weight they wish.:good

Ward had a few dozen AM fights at LHW. And won most all of em. He rarely lost fighting at his KID wieght.

When he turned pro he played the weight game fighting below his natural weight like most pros do using their size and good draining techniques to beat on smaller guys while padding a record.

Not many DARE to fight at their natural weight.

Hell, FMJ could still fight at 140. Manny at 135. Both fairly easily. And even at this advanced age, those two p4p ATGs would likely win titles in those divisions and possibly lock em down.

They both moved far above their natural weight.

Both campaigning at LMW against some of the toughest names in the division.

How Fraud is anywhere near them p4p when he wont fight even a decent guy at a lower wieght, or a solid guy at his natural weight.....:huh:huh:huh

His claim to fame is the sole doing of his RIP manager who kept Lucian Bute from the S6 because Ward, Ward himself said, if Butes in, Im out.

Then, Ward used Butes ban from the tournament as an excuse to duck him after the tournament and hit the lottery when Bute got deer in the headlights in the UK.

Luckily there was a cornered dog waiting for Bute in UK. Cuz if that dog was timid, he'd have lost and Ward would have been ran from the division.:good

Wait, if MOST guys weight drain, then how is he beating on smaller guys?

If MOST guys weight drain(and they do), then arent the guy he's been fighting just doing the exact same as he is?? And therefore, probably not smaller?
