a nice payday. but respect from the fans? i doubt it. people just hate ward and nothing he does will ever be good enough. just look at the beautiful display of boxing tonight and you got people saying yeah but he didn't ko rodriguez. e-rod is a very decent fight who looked like an amateur tonight not to mention ward was basically fighting someone who was not a supermiddleweight like roy jones said.

Fight was boring at times because of rodriguez's unwilliness to throw more then one punch at a time not wards fault

Honestly, its splitting hairs right now to determine who is really a better fighter between the two. If someone rated him 1, I wouldnt argue against it.

Ward is simply a master, and truly one of small handful of fighters that truly are elite.

I'm not following the logic here; if GGG's overhyped and unproven at middleweight, why should Ward get any credit for beating him at 168? At least Bute had a resume at 168 when Froch took him apart.

If your views on Golovkin are what you say they are, Ward's stock shouldn't rise at all with a win. But you and I both know that won't be how you act about it if the fight happens and Andre wins.

Rodriguez made it ugly and dirty wish he would have boxed from the outside ..

Ward showed great poise despite the ugliness !

PFP hands down FLOYD! Wards's talent is undeniable but until he proves himself in at least another div he can't take Floyd's title.

I agree. But this is boxing and the saying styles make fights are as true a mathematics. Amd when you fight everyone and not just picking certain kinds of styles thst suit yours, you will find some not so impressive showings. Ward has faced everyone that were anyone in 9r around his weight class.

One thing about Triple G is that he is very calculated and composed. He is less experienced but he is 32 with a wealth of AM experience. Ward has the edge but I believe Golovkin will make it a fight Ward could lose.....and not just because GGG has ridiculous power.

Styles make fights. Can't wait to see these two square off.

Who's better, Rodriguez or Alvarez? What about Cotto or Dawson at 168? I'm not sure why people act like Mayweather is fighting bums. He's fighting top guys.
