All the lame excuses being made for Kessler getting spanked indicate many folks are in denial. I was surprised at how many people had not caught on prior to the Kessler fight, but I am simply appalled at how many people have STILL not caught on. Even more appalling are the tired excuses in lieu of giving credit where credit is due.

 

As a Kessler fan, my take is that Ward fought a very dirty fight, grabbing, holding and reckless use of the head, which resulted in the stoppage.


All that said, it would appear that Ward was dominating Kesslere WITHOUT these tactics and therefore I don't see why he felt the need to resort to such stuff.

So, that night at least, Ward owned Kessler completely.

And it's difficult to see what Kessler could have done to make things any different.

Therefore, while it was a dirty fight, IMO, it wouldn't have looked much different had it been kept clean.

Only serious difference would have been a 12 round domination instead of a butt-stoppage.

 

Superstars dont fight every fight at home im sorry. Until he shows he has the balls to do what every other fighter is doing then he is nothing more than a protected fighter imo. In much the same way everyone calls Calzaghe.

Ward is an incredibly boring young man. It looks like he might well be an outstanding fighter, though.

 

Ward was the better fighter that night,no doubt.
But some of the things he got away with in that fight was awfull IMO.
But Ward is a very skillfull fighter.
