Are you really comparing a weight-drained ODLH who hasn't fought at the weight in ages and was old. To a PRIME champion?

I voted no. I have him at 3 in my list, with the gap closing on Mayweather and Pacquaio. The win over the probably weight-drained (and possibly slightly over-rated) Dawson in his hometown, while good, shouldn't be over-rated: wins against the likes of Froch and Kessler were better ones in my opinion. A few SMW's would quite possibly have beaten Dawson last night.

If Ward continues in this vein then I think he can make number 1, but he isn't quite there yet in my opinion

Um, yeah... He hadn't fought at 147 in 7 years. Dawson hadn't fought at 168 in 6 1/2 years. I find it a relevant comparison to some level.

And I will say that Dawson is 3 years past prime, clearly. Maybe as long as 5, going back to his probable peak performance of 2007 against undefeated Adamek.

Ward looked great last night, beat on Dawson but he's still not as good as Mayweather, top 3/4 though

Ok guys, Maybe I got a little to hyped over Ward's win. After thinking about it Floyd is still the best right now. But Ward is easily number 2.
