He's certainly been improving a great deal. A much better fighter than Dirrell for my money, especially technically.

I agree Ward has reminded me of a poor man's Hopkins for a while now and is one of the best operators currently in the sport and people will bash him because they think he's dirty but he's equally brilliant in the ring with savvyness of a 15 year veteran with top notch technical ability. With that said the fight with Dirrell will tell a lot about him. For one, he'll be facing a guy who's a better athlete than him, with faster hands who can beat him to the punch. I'll be interested as to how Ward overcomes this. I pick Ward in this fight because I think he's the more mentally strong fighter and won't fall apart but I think Dirrell will test him for sure.

 

I like Donaire but his level of opposition outside of Vic D has been embarrassing to say the least.

 

IF you exclude Hopkins...

There should be. I'm pissed at the way Donaire's career is being handled. Hell it was much better when he was with that POS Shaw, who has no interest in allowing Vic D. to rematch him. I hope like you said a fight between him and Montiel does take place.

all he has on his resume is a headbutted win against a shot kessler.
