Andre Ward is the best technical fighter in the world today*

Allan Green needed a gift in his home town to get past Emmet Linton. And Green is no better now than he was then. I'm not trying to be a dick. I just think Ward is an unproven fighter. The Kessler win was good, but the way he got it is questionable.

I'm looking forward to Dirrell/Ward. I'm not making a prediction, but I will not be surprised if people's assessment of Ward is very different post Dirrell.

i come into every thread as a neutral, i've just been around boxing long enough to see how it works. american hype jobs like ward, taylor, pavlik, lacy, dawson build up a false reputation through HBO and ring magazine brain washing a nation of gullable fans untill they get exposed for what they are - hypejobs.

calzaghe ruined kessler like he did every fighter who ever dared to go toe to toe with him. kessler was a shadow of himself when ward headbutted him all night in front of his hometown officials. kessler then came back and went life and death with a severely limited fighter in carl froch. any fighter worth his salt should be exposing carl froch . . . . . . . . well apart from that other american hypejob andre dirrell who lost a SD to him :rofl

pascal is a B level fighter on a par with froch. although pascal is B level, he is a big hitter and there is a high chance that pascal will expose dawsons fragile glass mandable in their upcoming bout :deal

i agree, ward isn't as athletically gifted as guys like dirrell but he uses what he has, he is a technical mastermind.

I actually prefer the fact that Ward is not polished and, rather than giving occasional, short bursts of Flair, he just gets on with the job. However, I wouldn't class him as a technical mastermind and neither of the wins over Kessler and Green show evidence of that.

He has a set of good attributes, which he uses well to grind out wins. I'd like to see more before even considering using words like "mastermind" to describe Ward.
