    Of course Ward will be the favorite.
    He hasn't loss since God created dirt!
    He has faced many more skilled opponents than Kovalev, but not as big.
    If Kovalev wins, it's a fluke upset.

    That type of talk does Kovalev and Ward both a great disservice, regardless of who wins. Either way, they are both too good for flukes. That's not to say that some weird freak occurrence might not happen.

    But these guys win fights and a combination of skills, tactics, preparation, dedication, and ring IQ - where each fighter has developed a brilliant style that is well suited for their respective strengths.

    Ward has demonstrated this far more times against far better opponents than Kovalev.
    The sole reason this fight is 50/50 is due to Ward's long lay-off during his promotional legal issues.
