Andre Ward is the most overrated fighter of all time.

I agree he lost to Kovalev. Since when did losing to Kovalev mean you're overrated though?

 

I can understand why HBO & Max Kellerman support someone like Ward...it's cuz he's an American gold medalist, champion, bla bla bla. Like an American hero that America needs (it's a nationalistic thing) but from a financial standpoint, I wouldn't support or promote a fighter like Ward. First off, the guy has the personality of a doorknob, two, he's not very media friendly, three, his fighting style doesn't produce much excitement. which would translate to having a fighter that won't make you much money.

I would promote fighters that get KOs, produce excitement and can fill up stadiums, so i can make my money back in promoting such said fighter. I'm sure Roc Nation is losing a lot of money on Ward.

In his own era Nonito and Roman have a better resumes. The win over Dawson's corpse was utterly meaningless. The first Kovalev fight was an absolute gift the second Kovalezvhas a small asterisk. Can't take anything away from the Kessler and Froch wins

 

Agreed! Only difference is I had Kovalev winning the first fight by a comfortable margin.

 

There is a reason why he is known in the trade as loaded dice Ward.

Good fighter who does what he has too to win, but helped massively by the fact that he has the deck stacked in his favour every single time out. The Kovalev fights were an utter disgrace as was his constantly headbutting Kessler.

 

you guys are too funy. your demigod GGG comes crashing down to earth, the object of your idolatry worship is only a man and a very limited boxer. And instead of you doing a reality check and getting realistic perspective........you go and attack Mr. Andre "SOG" Ward, undefeated in 151 fights , arguably one of the best resumes of any active fighter, technically one of the best fighters in the world today.............all for the simple reason you dont have a hero to worship. You dont need a hero you can live without a hero
