They need to hire Darnell Boone as an adviser

    Darnell Boone 23-22-4 (KO 12)
Fought as low as 156 lbs

    • KD Andre Ward
    • KD Sergey Kovalev
    • KO Adonis Stevenson

I seriously cannot see how Ward can employ his usual tactics against Kovalev and win this

I really hope this is made, I'll believe it when I see Ward in the ring on fight night

One of the things I can see is Ward extending his left arm for head control and distance management, and he'll occasionally get sloppy with it when he attempts to close distance or pull back, leaving his chin exposed. Kovalev has a really potent counter right hand. Another thing is he puts on the earmuffs and tries to bully his way inside. Kovalev can loop the right hand or dig to the body to take advantage of that.

I hope Kovalev is stronger than Allan Green or Sakio Bika. Boone caught Ward with his earmuffs on. Right up the middle.

It's funny Dre been undefeated since he was 12 years old and nobody has unearthed these 4 flaws. What is JDJ going to do that Ward does everything (with the exception of punch with power) BETTER than Kovalev? Yea Kovalev feints well disguises his right well and is able to control distance well. But Ward can do that better than anyone in the sport now. It's funny Andre's a switch hitter with a strong jab who can move, all of which neutralize kovalevs best assets.

When's the last time that happened? This literally happened in both of Kovalev's last fights against Pascal. They use the same style of jabbing to the forehead to control distance. Plus Ward gets off quicker.

the motion that you make is the same motion that you make to slip a jab through the space that you have next to your right ear and over your right shoulder or to throw a right hand.

this would prevent golovkin from getting the extension that he would need to have to punch and i think that because andre ward is bigger and likely physically stronger he would actually wear golovkin down a lot this way.

one of the dangers for andre ward is the way that this makes you get really square. every time a fighter gets really square you create a good angle for left hooks to come around your right elbow.

that's from the gawd yuzo's breakdown of GGG/ward. Ward would use the same principles to beat both of them.

How did Ward clear out SMW?
He beat Kessler who beat Froch who beat Bute but Ward never fought any when undefeated or prime

JDJ reckons Ward "has no inside game", so wouldn't give this much credence.

But he beat Froch with one arm on some 11-1 12-0 steez.

What at all does that have to do with these 4 'errors' Andre Ward makes? He ducks in and is suspect to the uppercut but Kov would need to have distance or a more compact punch range to pull it off and I don't see it. Not with the way Dre moves.

Havent listened or read about the 4 errors, just dont think Ward cleared out SMW, just think he beat an already beaten unwell Kessler who beat Froch etc.
I thought Ward won a close clear decision over Froch but dont take too much from it as Froch was coming off a Mdec over a SMW journeyman and think Froch was a bit fatigued with having been on the road so much.

na, he just WON THE SUPER SIX of the SMW division. such a fail.

don't take too much from it COS IT WAS A WIN.
    god such a failey.

jeez ward really upset you by eclipsing what joe took 11 years to do, in one single fight his first ever title fight. everyone can see exactly why you are trying desperately to put ward down.

Please correct me if I'm wrong I know nobody has really tried to fight Kovalev on the inside putting their heads in his chest? I haven't been following Kovalev for that long. Never really heard of him until 2013. Do you think Andre will try and use that style against Kovalev. Ward totally confused Kessler by switching stances, it was like Kessler never seen that before, lol! Maybe Ward will fight him on the outside like he did Abe? I'm wondering if that inside mauling will trouble Kovalev
