Ward recorded a KO between his Miranda and Kessler fights against "Sugar" Shelby Pudwell.

He stopped Pudwell in 3, only problem being he was a blown up light middleweight and had been stopped in 1 off John Duddy 3 years before.

Hardcore fans know with 100% certainty that Golovkin has fought nobody in 8 years, and they are tired of it.
Finally, after 8 long years he will fight the best opponent he has fought in his career, Jacobs, and that's not saying a lot. Jacobs is a good fighter, but definitely not as good as the opponents Golovkin ducked. I.E., Hopkins, Lara, Ward, Canelo.

Gonzalez doesn't like appearing on Golovkin undercards. After appearing on the the David Lemieux under card, Gonzalez demanded K2 make him the headliner from then on, and K2 had no choice but to agree.
He is on the Jacobs undercard because of special request by K2, which means they needed him and likely paid him like they needed him.

Being P4P number one doesn't equate to tons of views. Gonzalez is still less popular than Golovkin. There is a reason the boxers at smaller weightclasses get paid so little and that is because they simply don't generate enough ticket sells.
