Ward has a chance to be great but I doubt he'll be a superstar. The first thing he needs to do is dump Gossen who isn't a major player and get with GBP or even that snake Arum.
I mean this Lemieux guy is getting hyped to hell and is almost a star and might get smoked by the first stern test he faces............KOes get attention.
I feel like Lemieux is more than just a one hit slammer though. He showed off some great combinations and infighting(the best i've seen in a long time) and solid but not great defensive skills. He builds up his defense more and he could be something great.
Maybe, maybe not. The guy has potential to be one of the best but I'll just watch his career progress and find out. As far as personality, that doesn't score you points in the ring punches do. But some corrupt judges may see a fighter as "the best thing since sliced bread" so hey may give a close decision to that guy.
Only sad in the fact it can take away from immense some great talents. But do you really wanna hear that **** before and after the fight? I know i dont.
Yes, much like B-Hop he'll need to be extraordinarily dominant to reach the casual fan. It is certainly possible but a highly regarded nemesis of some sort always helps...Hopkins had the super fight with Tito to legitimize his reign, maybe Pavlik or Dawson for Ward?
I agree about the religious freak thing, but that is a personality, like it or not. They need to build up an Angel Manfredy-style Satanic nemesis, ideally an Arab, and middle America could be his.
