Andre Ward on Beterbiev looking 'beatable': 'You will see more guys trying to fight him now'

Well he is 36 going on 37 ffs. Of course the trajectory is not in an upward direction.

 

And here comes Canelo.......just like Teddy Atlas said the other day, the weakness that everyone saw in Beterviev
was also seen by Team Canelo. Rather than wait till Beter reaches 40, he'll get him in the ring in 2022.

Ward is right, Beterbiev has slowed down a lot in his last two fights. I thought it was rust but he’s turning 37 next month. That’s pretty old even by current standards. Still too fresh for Canelo. At this rate, expect a call out within the year. I’m hoping they can get a Bivol fight scheduled. Two Russians doesn’t generate much $$$ so it might be difficult. Both guys are tough and they do t suck anyone. I’d watch it and would favor Bivol at this stage in a boxing match. AB still has tremendous power but he is slowing down noticeably.

 

Beterbiev's slaps with his hooks upstairs on the inside. Yeah he looked somewhat ordinary, but he still beat Browne down in a manner not seen yet.

If I was Ward I'd come out of retirement to fight Beterbiev.

 

Ward looked pretty beatable getting knocked down and outboxed by Kovalev.

He's fading but he's still a very dangerous fighter. If canelo fights him early next year I will give him props. Ward is planting the seed so that if canelo destroys him it will be "oh he was old and washed up never that good". They are mad because canelos legacy is about to overshadow floyd's
