I read it a bit different. Kessler and Froch certainly deserve respect and credit for going into a competition with something to lose (a world title), but the other fighters had it all to gain and little to lose. Also Ward wanted home advantage, so didnt show the same risk travelling. Ward deserves credit for winning the tournament, but I think Froch had the toughest road in that he fought every one of the original contestants, one after the other, was abroad for 5 out of 6 of those fights and then after fought Bute, as well as fighting one undefeated fighter in the comp and another who only had a DQ loss
Indeed. To think of the promise he held a few years back, to be where he is.......curses on the business side of boxing. Ruins the sport.
Does Ward's comments mean he wants Kovalev next? John David said he wants Ward next. Let's see if Ward calls out Kovalev.
