He also got head butted a lot and ward initiated 90+ clinches, the better man won but if you've never been head butted you don't realise how dis orientating it can be, and being allowed to clinch thatch give you a huge advantage as you can control the pass of the fight and stop your opponents momentum .

 

i'll ask again, when should froch have tried to make the fight, when ward was injured? or should he just drop the groves rematch and his biggest payday?

A Kessler rematch in Denmark was on the table but according to Ward, Goosen killed it.

He came back and said the offer is not satisfactory and I can’t offer you this. I’m going to pursue this fight in the States. He got another offer from the network (HBO) and it was way too low. He killed it. He said he was going to continue to look. We waited and waited and waited."

It's not a duck if Ward himself claims his own promoter killed the fight. Kessler and HBO wanted the fight, in Denmark, than the States, and Ward says that Goosen axed it.

If this was the other way around, STB would be crying duck. Instead he lies and claims Kessler never wanted the fight. Ward's own statement on the matter contradicts this.

 

It's been nearly 5 years since the Kessler fight and 3 since the Froch fight.

The achievements themselves are fine and he's gotten plenty of mileage off of them. Let's be real- it's very generous of the Ring to rank him #2 P4P considering he's had 2 fights since 2011.

People are frustrated that Ward talks about everybody and their grandma ducking him while he seemingly makes every move and demand possible to not make fights happen on his end. OK, so he won the Super 6 tournament. That's a great accomplishment.

You know what it's not? It's not a free pass to think every single fight from there on out gets to be on your terms if the economics don't dictate it. If he wants to think that, cool. He'll just continue to be on the sidelines while fighters he beat have gone on to bigger things.

It's sad, really. People have been reduced to waiting until fighters who wanted to fight Ward get beat so they can fantasize about what Ward might've done to them and give him credit for wins he never had. You've got to play the "what if" game because he's not gonna be in the ring any time soon

Well as of right now, you dont have to say "what if" in the 168 division.

Ward has literally beaten all the other title holders, in the ring.

 

You just quoted Ward saying OK, that he'd fight him...you do know that right?

Also my main point was Froch simply because he acted like such a prize ***** after the Ward fight saying "He got me on an off night"

Then again, as we all now know, Froch is actually just a prize *****, and immensely dislikeable.

Wow, your pathetic. Did you read the full quote where he said that Goosen killed the fight? Which would place blame squarely on his own promoter, not Kessler or his people.
