It's not even debatable whether Ward wanted an easier opponent after his injury layoff. His people tried to line him up a fight against Caleb Truax, Dmitri Sartison, and Stanyslav Kastanov (I think Goosen actually had a deal in place for him to fight Sartison), but HBO told him in no uncertain terms that they weren't interested in any of them. They also weren't at all happy about him wanting a king's ransom for facing one of them either. They pretty much forced Rodriguez on him.

The funny thing is Ward said he deliberately chose Rodriguez because he didn't want an easier touch on his comeback when an interviewer posed him the question why he wasn't taking on a lesser opponent after coming back from injury. lol

    i thought you were off.

like 'goose, i made plenty of points with evidence and discussed plenty of events, you're just too soft in the head to understand them.

you resorted to trolling when we both did you. thanks for your contribution.

    First things first.

    English Usage checker

    You are, or You're

    ".", to end a sentence.
Yeah; Capitalize to start a sentence

Bums; Capitalize to start a sentence and a period to end it

If : Capitalize to start a sentence

The rest is just one nonsensical run on sentence with no basis in reality and very likely written by someone on European Horse or Krokodil.

Advice: Leave the Krokodil alone. :yep

Ward hasn`t fought outside the US yet,he also avoided a unification fight and in all fairness he is just a damn boring horrible fighter to watch and he cant draw flies to sh*t because he is a horrible fighter to watch.

No doubt, Ward is at leat half dumb. On top of that, he calls on God for help to tie his shoes.
Still, he trusted the wrong people, resigned, and got screwed.
Some people have to learn the hard way, while others like Lomachenko, Klitschos, and Bute are mediocre but get paid the same or more than the actual A level elites.

    YAAAAAWN!

Who rightly gives a flying rat-$hit who says what? Ward simply put DOES NOT earn his opponents as much money as fighting other MORE ENTERTAINING fighters would/has.

So Ward can claim and talk any ¢rap he likes: No-one wants to fight a technically sound, rough-housing, hug-tastic fighter and get embarrassed/frustrated in front of fans. That would mean playing your part in a $hite spectacle and losing.

Would anyone in their right mind do a job twice as hard for 1/4 of the pay?????? EXACTLY!

    Andre BORED already......

I can't stand all of his SOG talk.

He's a super dirty Fighter and Im still flabbergasted that he was allowed to spoil the Kessler fight the way he did (that he was allowed to clinch is primarily the referees responsibility, but the headbutts were amongst the worst I have ever seen in boxing).

I think it is pathetic that he won't leave California.

    - That being said I think it is a shame that his talent is wasted like this. Put him in the ring with a quality opponent (and a competent referee) and Im sure you'll get some great boxing.

Im not really sure who is to blame for this. On the one hand Im sure he holds a lot of the blame for not wanting to travel and acting the way he does, but on the other hand I don't think anyone really wanted to fight him.
I guess it's one of those things that we'll never knw for sure, but a shame nonetheless.

These guys at 168 are ignoring/avoiding Ward because they can. Make no mistake he is the guy to beat. But, more entertaining and lucrative fights are being made by the lesser fighters in the division, who have bigger fan bases. Even the 160 lb fighters are willing to move up...to fight each other.

So, Ward is going to have to go on a seek and destroy mission. There is really no other option for him, unless he moves up and takes over 175. Sitting on the sidelines waiting for a dance partner will not work for him. He's a sure loss for anyone at that weight (on paper).

When someone is ready to be considered "the man" at 168, they will have to come see him. But, no one is any rush to do so. Ward's too good for his own good. And, he is going to have to concede the hometown advantage to secure the bigger purses AND chase these fights down that he wants.

Doesn't matter if he fought there. He would be the clear favorite over everyone in the world at 175. Guys are ducking Ward they know they can't beat him so they use the excuse as he's not a draw to get out of fighting him and his haters eat that up to.

Far too many unknowns to make him a clear favorite at 175 over everyone, where guys like Kovalev and Stevenson would be free to come in at that 180-190 range. No way of saying for certain Ward could take that kind of power.

Who is ducking him? Ward has been out with a shoulder injury for over a year, HBO didn't accept his choice of easy comeback opponents and he waited 3 months for Rodriguez. Since than he's had offers from Kessler and lower tier guys like Bika. He was only interested in Kessler but claimed Goosen killed it. His own words. I've posted this interview in this thread.

Ward is contradicting himself again with this recent claim, don't be a sucker. You can't take 12 months off with an injury, wait three months for your come back opponent, tell the scene that your promoter killed a potentional super fight, than claim unnamed fighters are avoiding you.
