Yes he would be. Who has Kovalev beat let alone fought that is in Ward's class?:deal Kovalev wold actually be a easy fight for Ward due to styles. :deal Stevenson stylistically would be a harder fight for him.

I'm a Carl Froch fan but he doesn't want any parts of the rematch, he just has sour grapes. GGG didn't mention his name but was quick as hell to try and fight JCC Jr.

Ward fought big punchers before, Abraham Kessler Froch all hit hard but what happened when they fought Ward?:deal What you fail to realize is what good is power when you're not there to be hit and your opponent can't land. A complete fighter like Ward who can fight at all ranges with good defense and a high ring IQ would eat Kovavlev alive. How many times do we have to see this?See guys like Hopkins and PBF against these types for reference. He would smother his power make him miss and make him pay. It would be actually funny to watch Ward school and expose him by the mid rounds people would say damn Kovalev hasn't landed anything of note while Ward is lighting Kovalev up with jabs and right hands. People overrate punchers and underate boxers all the time give me the boxer in these kind of matchups 9 out of 10 times, Ward is a stylistic nightmare for Kovalev.:deal

He would be the favorite over Kovalev at 175 I don't know why you're even arguing this, as well as anyone else at 175. I wish it wasn't the case because I could make out like a bandit just like I did when Kessler fought Ward and Kessler was the favorite. The smart money was on Ward in that fight.

-Ward was unavailable for 2013 as a whole due to injuries, a lawsuit, and prep time for a tune opponent. So ultimately you feel his inactivity this year is to be blamed on Froch not wanting a rematch(despite being tied up with Groves) and a MW belt holder unwilling to move up and fight him. Could it be his promoter is not getting him good fights or shooting down offers as he himself claimed previously?

-Uh....that is exactly why if it was announced Ward was facing Stevenson or Kovaleav at 175, the odds would have him as a slight underdog. We aren't talking about your personal analysis but who would the odds makers favor.

Ward is seen as a P4P elite #2 behind PBF the oddsmakers know what he brings to the ring. He's a complete fighter with few flaws he has the style that can be good at higher weights. Kovalev is a puncher and can be outboxed not only that he hasn't faced a high level of comp. You're a fool if you think Kovalev would be favored over Ward at 175. Ward's resume shits on Kovalev's. Kovalev's only chance in this fight is to KO Ward because he's sure as hell not going to outbox him. Betting on a KO puncher against a guy who has elite defense and boxing ability with a high ring IQ is dumb. How many times do you have to see this? PBF Hopkins and Ward have shown you they have no problems with these types but yet you continue to think Ward will some how be the underdog against Kovalev. Offense sells tickets but defense wins championships.:deal

Wards best win is tailor made caveman Carl Froch, p4p#2 my ass

He hasn't had a meaningful win in 3 years, the winner of Groves-Froch (Groves) is the rightful #1 at SMW

He wouldn't be a slight underdog he's more complete and has a better resume than both of them combined. Just like PBF who's favored over anyone in the world 154 and down so would Ward at 175. We aren't talking about your personal analysis but mine is more sound as to who the oddsmakers would favor.
There are no great fighters at 175 Kovalve is basic with good power and Stevenson isn't anything special. Hell I would still favor Hopkins to beat Kovalev and Stevenson that right there shows you how bad the division is. Hopkins will fight Stevenson or Kovalev but wants no parts of Ward, that right there should tell you everything you need to know.:deal

With people who don't know **** about boxing he would. I would bet a large sum with anyone here if a fight between Ward and Kovalev is announced Ward will be the favorite going in.

Ward is a horrible match up for Froch this has already been proven. Groves would be a harder fight for Ward than Froch would be due to styles.

The odds makers would favor Ward.

Beating Cleverly doesnt not make you favorite over Ward.

umm, are you asking me(a boxing forum contributor in England) why Andre Ward(A professional boxer in California), doesnt fight at 175, because "you all"(I assume people who admire Andre Ward as a boxer) are confident of his abilities...

I dont know here to begin on this one....

-This PBF stuff doesn't relate at all. Well, I'm not sure Hopkins really wants a part of Kovalev either. I think Kovalev would be a slight favorite against Ward at 175, regardless it would be close odds, I don't see a clear favorite unless Kovalev agrees to move down like Dawson stupidly did.

-So i guess you are no longer going to argue Ward's problems are not everyone in the world ducking him but the injures/promotional issues on his end?
