And beating Froch at 168 wouldn't make you a favorite over Kov at 175 at this time either.

Factors that would be considered would be Ward moving up and meeting a larger physically stronger technically sound power puncher on his own terms. I don't think the odds would be a huge discrepancy.

You might have a point if Kovalev had cleaned out 175 and had a real resume but that's not the case. Ward is more proven and more complete so he would be the favorite and rightfully so.

I wouldnt say huge discrepancy, but yes he would be favorite.

Hes a guy who cleaned out his division going up against a guy who is largely untested.

Same reason GGG would be favorite against Chavez even though Chavez is bigger.

Resumes are just about opportunity. Working with what he has, Kov has created the impression that he is one of the top three guys at LHW and could potentionally beat the other two(Hopkins and Stevenson).

More proven against fighters of a comparable size. Again, there would be doubts if Ward moved up to 175. I'm not ruling out the possibilty of Ward beating Kov, I'm just telling you that proclaiming Ward to be the MAN in two divisions when he has yet to venture so much as a toe into one is an absurd claim.

"Ward beats anyone in boxing 175 and down."-PIMP C

Again, I call BS on this until Ward has at least one meaningful fight at that weight.

Speculate and fantasize as you wish.

Isnt that what many do with Kovalev (and to a degree GGG), they fight average fighters, look great and people say that they're beasts who'll KO everyone?

Who said "Kov beats anyone in boxing 199 and down?" or "GGG beats anyone in boxing 168 and down?" Show me the link.

LOL. Yeah, I don't know about Ward being the favourite.

What's that large sum like? Can people actually take you on that bet?

Ward-Kovalev will likely happen within the next year, two years if we're unlucky as fans.
