Froch in England?, where UFC rules only apply to Froch?

 

Froch-Ward might happen in Vegas. Froch wants to headline a Vegas fight if he gets by Groves. Its the one major thing he hasnt done yet in his career - have a megafight in the mecca of boxing.

Hearn is the one promoter who has both the bankroll and willingness to make the fight, if Carl wants it. Problem is, Froch doesnt really care about Ward one way or another. If he can face JR or GGG or basically anyone for more money and bigger crowds than he would get fighting Ward he will take the higher paycheck. Oh and that 8m payday he is getting for Groves II - thats 8m pounds, thats 13.5m in USD.

Wards only other payday option is going to Denmark for Kessler, and it would have to be there because Kessler will only come to USA for lots of money.

 

Where I'm from calling someone an ape is like calling them stupid, it's got nothing to do with race. I'd say Americans are a little bit more high strung about stuff like this though

What crybaby fails to mention in his interview is that his team are not making any offers either. Who can blame Goosen either? He's not going to put up collateral to stage a fight when Ward's trying to sue him. It's hard for Goosen to make a fight with Ward like that because Ward doesn't inherently draw big numbers/generate money.

Ward is like an ultra bitter version of Chris Byrd. Guys don't want to fight you because of your difficult negative style and fans don't want to pay because of your difficult negative style. Therefore Ward, like Byrd before him will always depend on the other fighter to sell the tickets for the fights.

 

Difference is ward has got a lot of huge fights if he wants them, froch,groves,jcc,ggg, kovalev, Adonis ,Hopkins if he were to agree to fight most of these guys and be willing to go abroaf he would become a huge star even with his negative style and would become p4p number 1. He then would be the attraction

 

I agree, Ward's a phenomenal talent and can be very articulate in interviews. He's also demonstrated over his career to being highly risk-adverse. His S6 accomplishments are losing their heat and he's slowly slipping into obscurity. Where Dirrell self-destructed over night, Ward's doing it over years.

 

Ward needs to fight the winner of Groves-Froch II.
