thats what i meant, i think the fighters probably agreed to let Ward have all his fights at home and that he will probably be a pushover anyway. He was the surprise package of the S6

Other than lots of British people being interested, what makes it a "superfight"?

Its between 2 guys who arent near a p4p top 10.

Its a good SMW clash...thats it.

And attendance doesnt make it a huge fight.

The Mayweather fights are in a casino, does that make Mayweather and Pacquiaos fights smaller than Froch Groves?

try to convince yourself that if you want. it's doing nothing for ward and his jealousy, either.

Maybe if Froch actually tried to make a fight with Ward in his beloved England, Ward would take the fight.

Froch and his team however dont want their asses kicked in front of their home fans so they never even tried to make the fight.

In all fairness the p4p top 10 is pretty bias and has way to many fighters from 147-154. I'd probebly put froch in or near the top ten

Perhaps, Im not saying they're poor fighters.

But "Superfight" to me, implies Hagler-Leonard, Duran-Leonard, Ali-Foreman, Mayweather-De La Hoya, Chavez-De La Hoya etc

Not 2 guys who are top 5 in their division, who happen to be from teh same country.

I you can get 80k people to attend a fight and god knows how many more buying it on paper per view than it is a superfight

Boxing is a global sport now. The two most exciting super middleweights are residents of England. The best heavyweight is from the Ukraine. One of the most marketable fighters in the world is from the Philippines. U.S. Fighters no longer dictate who fights whom or run the show. Ancient Don King looked pathetic after Stiverne won trying to still look relevant. Like the Klitschko team care at all about what that relic says. Boxing is like Tennis now. The major players are not American citizens. They don't need U.S. involvement or recognition. The Klitschkos routinely fill up 60,000 seat soccer stadiums in Germany as will Froch and Groves in England. Roy Jones refused to fight abroad and got away with it but those days are over. Ward needs to update his passport and get ready to travel. Otherwise he just sinks deeper into irrelevancy.

Chavez-Haugen has 132,000 at it. I dont consider that a super fight either.

Klitschko-Mormeck had over 50,000 in attendance and I dont consider that a super fight either.

The vast majority of the top fighters in the world are still eitehr American or based in America.

You have a link showing that Froch ever tried to get a fight made with Ward in England?
