Fighters today have to be more than just good boxers. They have to sell their craft in a global marketplace. Floyd Mayweather has done that with his hood rat persona. The Klitschko's are huge in Europe due to their unique gentlemanly, intellectual vibe. Manny has that humble angelic quality that attracts paying customers. Ward brings nothing to the table outside of great boxing skills. He fights in a boring manner and fans just don't seem to bond with him. At the end of the day the lowly fan, the working stiff really runs the show. He puts his hard earned money down or he doesn't.

In all fairness what he says might not actually be the truth , ward barely wanted to leave his home state for the first froch fight and has never taught outside the states so until he actually does some travelling and fights some guys abroad il take him saying that like I take almost everything wards says these days as bull**** he says just to keep himself relavent
