Ward appears to be retired. Stevenson wants to fight Ward, but Ward refuses to fight him even at 168. When asked about fighting Kovalev. Ward said that Kovalev was too big for him, yet he fought as an amateur as a light heavyweight.................After all Goosen did for Ward, Ward sued him. How sad. SOG?! More like SOB!

Anyone going to step up to bat and claim either is a better single victory (bearing in mind Kessler was 5 years ago) than a knockout of Pac, shutout of unbeaten Canelo, or even 8-4 decision over unbeaten Bradley? :think)

Shouldn't really have 'retired' fighters in the p4p list. Should be removed from it by now.

I would argue that beating Froch is better than beating Canelo, if there was random drug testing for the Ward-Froch fight however, being that there wasn't, and I'm extremely weary of Ward's unwillingness to take the test, that victory has a big * next to it for me. :yep

Froch KO's a randomly drug tested Ward. :deal

Well the general rule of thumb is one year of inactivity so he has about two weeks then it's toddle pip, and we all hail the Super Middleweight #1, The King Of England, Carl 'The Cobra' Froch. :deal

    True. :yep

But Ward will never agree to random testing.

Just like he will never agree to travel to a location where another fighter is considered to have home advantage.

Or, accept he not a draw and agree to be a B side.

Or fight at a weight that suits his opponent more than it does him.

Any meaningful fight Ward will have in his career has already happened. :deal

I'd strongly disagree with that. Canelo is a bigger scalp already than Froch

Froch is, however, along with Kessler, the best scalp one could hope for at 168lbs in the last several years and Ward does have both, to his credit (although perhaps with asterisks - stacked deck/fouling allowed excessively versus Kessler at the very least...and maybe testing issues as you say versus Froch...).

I think ward cleaning out the division and all the major threats is more noteworthy than what mayweather has done , he also has the opportune to be higher than ward by beating Pacquio but he has not done it

I rate Froch over Canelo. But Mayweather and Pacman still over Ward at P4P, when he is active he is maybe between in 3-5. However he is inactive and therefore irrelevant, he needs another big W on his resume

Yea he really whooped Bute wait that was Froch! Just because A fighter beats B fighter and B fighter beats C fighter doesn't mean A beats C! Bute wouldn't have been destroyed by Ward it would of been a more tactical fight and Bute had the tools to win it but Ward wanted none of it and said he didn't earn it. Then he fought who??

Sad to hear that Ward decided to hang the gloves up and call it a day.
