Ward is right. Going back down to a lower weight class is only easy if you ask trainers or fans. Boxers know it ends up badly, and Ward is a very smart man that won't temp fate. He is methodical and calculating, he leaves nothing to chance. From weight to judges to ref to location, everything must be perfect and in his favour. That's what a smart man does.

golovkin fans have been delusional going on almost two years now...full on delusional......

"canelo weighs 180+ on fight night its a legit fight...its fair"....."danny jacobs was 180+ in there hes practically a cruiser wahhhhhhhhhh"

you are right...these guys are a mirror of their fighters promoter...they have to have every advantage....if its not size its skill...they thought they had jacobs on skill by a margin but they were wrong....

the fans would prefer him to stay put and fight and fight C/low B level middleweights and welters

they are still chasing a 26 year old who has 0 wins against MWs

There's no reason for this fight to happen anymore, unless Gennady decides to move up to LHW which he obviously won't.

It had a chance to materialize a few years ago, but it didn't for whatever reason. I always felt that Gennady beating Ward would be exponentially greater than anything he could achieve at MW, and that includes unifying. Beating Ward a few years back would've cemented him as the #1 P4P guy.

Ward is a forward thinker and mover. GGG had his chance and didn't take it.

Jacobs is taller and heavier. Golovkin may be a bit chunkier, but Jacobs weighed more on the night of their fight is all I am saying. That isn't any type of excuse for GGG not getting the KO, just the facts as I see them. Golovkin is my favourite current fighter but I don't think he is a "huge weight cutter" and the weigh ins support me on this. Lastly, I absolutely want Golovkin to move up once he unifies all the belts at 160 and will be disappointed if he doesn't. Also I want him to fight Ward and don't really care about the Canelo fight so I don't fit your description of GGG fans wanting to see him matched easy and not tested.

wonder who has successfully done it? btw, that is also why golovkin didn't move up, then return to mw.

Virgil Hunter himself said that Ward will move down to 168 to fight Golovkin after Kovalev rematch. THE TRAINER HIMSELF. ON CAMERA. "Ward is still a 168 lb'er.

Ward fans were holding Abel Sanchez's words accountable (154-168). Now when Virgil makes such a statement, Ward fans CONVENIENTLY ignore it. Hahhahahha

Right, chose whose statements you will hold accountable to fit your agenda.

    Double standard at its best.

yeah....I know that's what you need to believe...but see.....hunter has said something and ward has come out and clearly made a statement....when sanchez talks golovkin doesn't speak up and confirm or deny.....ward is out here saying "nah".....but u dont hear golovkin coming out, after sanchez said he can beat all of 175, and say "well nah that's too much guys I cant do that ..that would tough"......when ward was calling him for fight at 168 u didn't hear golovkin come out and say "theres some fights we looked for at 168...some big money fights...but ward is really good and that's really tough...he might be going up to 175 and theres not a lot of money"

ward will actually come out and tell u whats real and whats not....if he feels virgil made a statement that is out of whack...hell be there to clarify or tell you how he feels.....

ward has always claimed, and its on video, "when people on your team talk about you...you are responsible"....

and lets be real...if ward beats kovalev again ward aint gonna consider no 50/50 with golovkin or let golovkin think he some a-side.....and that alone will kill any c hance of it happening.....ward is done with golovkin...that ship has sailed unless golovkin comes to him.....ward done said that much awhile back after he reached out and tried to get them to talk about making a fight....they had no interest and he moved on....ward was weighing in at 171 for a 175 fight with smith in hopes he could make that fight.....he was waiting before he went full fledged 175...but they weren't down for that scrap....now when hes up at 175 fighting top p4p guys all of the sudden they are talking 168? where was 168 talk in late 2015/early 2016? nowhere....it was "164"....lol...CLOWN
