bute had a padded record until he stepped up against froch and got his ass handed to him. he wasn't "ducked" when he hadn't fought or beat anyone

ward didn't "refuse to travel" - his promoter got him the home fights in the super six tourney, probably because nobody took him seriously and promoters were trying to have leverage for home fights against 'tougher' opponents

Lets see what happens if Ward will go through with the testing or not.

Some of you guys are not happy that Rodriquez did'tn stipulate it before in the contract.
The fact of the matter is that if he had, Ward if he's on PED's would have found a way to wiggle out of the fight citing other reasons.

From what I understand, Rodriguez is'nt demanding Ward be tested, he's just saying he's doing it and Ward should also.Rodriguez is just putting Ward in a position to look guilty if he does'nt.
I think Rodriguez did the right thing. Why prolong negotiations and likely get turned back from a real payday by brining it up then?
Just bring it up on the first press conference to announce the fight and let Ward drown himself in his own excuses if he wants to refuse.
Alot of the major fights now are going through legitimate testing there's really no good reason for Ward to refuse. If there is one I'd like to hear it.

What I dont understand is that Victor Conte is a proponent of testing.
Conte works with VADA. Why would Ward shy away from their tests?

Is Ward not working with Victor Conte any longer????

At one point Ward was associated with Conte, I was researcing it and found out that Edwin Rodriguez now works with Conte.
What I dont know is what happened to Ward's association with Conte and when and if they split?

Did you ever wonder why guys always hit the body when they are holding?

Fighting in the clinch and hitting and holding is legal.

Since he refuses to take the test, he's very likely on something.

There may not be enough time to clean out his system before the fight.

Boxing fans can be such hypocrites. Pac was accused of being on peds for declining testing against Maywether, and Marquez was skewered for working with Heredia, even though he never refused to undergo random blood testing and was in fact tested with Nevada. But many of the same fans that level accusations at those guys give Ward a pass for working with Conte and rejecting osdt testing.

So Dawson chose to be weight-drained ... that doesn't make him NOT weight-drained does it? So the victory is tainted.
