Andre Ward retirement party?

I had a happy retirement party to wish this unbeaten 2 weight world champion and Olympian the best for the future. I had steamed Cabbage and potatoes and a glass of room temperature water and went to be early on my own. It seemed the right thing to do to tip my hat to his career.

 

Ward was good no doubt, but lets face it, boxing will hardly miss him.

Have a lovely retirement, SOJ, the most overrated fighter of all time.
I am so gutted Kovalev didn't get a 3rd fight in Russia, he would kill him there.
Let's take a moment to celebrate, and to look back with pride on his career,
Are there any title fights Ward was involved in that didn't include him using dirty tactics or cheating?

 

Ward is p4p top 10, defo outside top 5 for me. He is a disgrace to boxing, and I really don't understand how all the ESPN and HBO "specialists" have him at number 1, ofc they are probably paid to say that but still.

Some people on here actually think that had the fights taken place in Russia Ward still would have won

This level of delusion is mind boggling, as if Ward would have gotten a gift decision in Russia, or wouldnt have been disqualified for the consistent low blows

 

If the fight had happened in Russia or anywhere else there would have been no rematch imo

 

If there's any nuts served at the party I'd guard them closely. Ward will do his best to grab them.

 

THEY like to try and act like CONSTANTLY fighting in his backyard (He really did a few times in Oakland) isn’t any sort of advantage. Ward fought two times outside of the US.

 

Ward is throwing a retirement party? I guess Tony Weeks will definitely be getting his invitation card soon.

 

That retirement party should be fun, I bet Ward insisted it was Oakland and you can guarantee all of Ward's 5 fans will turn up.

I believe the party will have everything, it will find a way to be a winner but once it actually starts it will bore people senseless and will be forgettable for most but the hardcore party goers will insist "this party was amazing, you don't know S about parties" and also claim it was one of the greatest parties of all times.

 

100% should not have retired unbeaten he lost that kovalev fight is was all over his face before he heard the cards and the kessler fight he should have been dq how was any fighter gonna get a win with everything against them

he will not be missed all he ever did was put super middle and light heavy on hold with his diva actions outside the ring
