There are no excuses the deplorable actions of Ward & Weekes should have been punished

 

Its blatant The excuses are more than justified. The foul line on a fighters body is the navel NOT the testes

 

Would love to see Ward come back to fight Canelo.

 

Ward is not coming back now. He 's trying to do the same thing as Calzaghe did. Just stays retired and keeps his legacy alive. Ward is not gonna do what Roy Jones did in the past. Trying to make a comeback but got knocked out over and over again. He's not that stupid!

 

If he did come back he should fight Canelo, he’s not coming back though.

 

I think that the pay day for a Canelo fight is the only thing that would bring him back.

Come on, I really don't understand this narrative about the low blows in the 2nd fight. I agree, I gave the 1st fight to Kovalev by a couple rounds. The 2nd fight was a result of Wards determination and grit as well as "body shots". John Jackson mentioned months prior to the fight how Kovalev had a history of abusing his body with alcohol and people thought he was hating. Alcohol/drugs have never been a good match up for professional athletes. It only leads to the eventual pre mature breakdown of a fighters body. History has shown us just that. The body shots that were landed on K, were on the belt line, which are legal shots. Some people miss the fact that K was shook up by a head shot moments before all the body shots. He was on his way out in a couple more rounds max. Look at his body language through out the fight. In retrospect look at what happened to K after the Ward fight. He was knocked out again by Alvarez. Where is the excuse in that fight. Kovalev from a couple years earlier would have demolished that guy. People are blaming his loss on the wrong things. It was a combination of him not taking care of his body over the years and being in the ring with a guy he couldn't bully and who refused to be beaten.

It's not my "views" or opinions as you seem to apply. Look for yourself and apply the "rules" for a legal vs illegal blow. That was the point of me supplying the video. If you refuse to accept what your eyes see and the actual rules of boxing, then at that point you are just being bias. A low blow is defined as an, "Unlawful blow that lands below an opponents waist". Did the ref not disqualify Ward because they were both black, he is a horrible ref or is it a combination of the two. I've made the excuse easier for you.
