So when a boxer has his shorts above the "Navel" whether its on purpose or not. What is the ref supposed to rely on? His X-Ray vison?? At the beginning of the fight the ref points to the level of which the fighters have to stay above when punching. What about the big right hand that hurt Kovy before the so called series of low blows. Kovy was a beaten fighter from years of drinking/not taking care of his body and Wards Will. What happened when Kovy fought Alvarez? Kovalev from 2yrs earlier what have demolished Alvarez.

 

Watch the tape of the fight closely not this edited one. You'll notice Kov's trunks have slipped down & the top of his protector is above the white band making the blows low. That big punch nor Kov's drinking are relevant to whether Ward punches are low & deliberate. They were blaqtant fouls & he should have been DQ'd End of Story

 

Pacquiao hit Marquez with a huge shot when he was already down and you hardly hear anybody crying about that...

 

Why do people insist that Ward racked Kov in the nuts every round? He had a few low blows, but not like you guys try to make it out to be. Ward>Kovalev.

 

I found it odd that he retired at the time he did when he just solidified himself as the kingpin LHW. It wasn't like he took a lot of abuse in his career but I don't think at his current age it's a good idea for him to come back. There's no one at 168 or 175 that would net Ward an exoribitant amount of money to coax him to return outside of Canelo Alvarez (I doubt Alvarez would take that fight anyway.)

Beterbiev would have GLADLY fought ward. Same with Gvozdyk and Bivol. And all three aren’t on the decline like Kovalev has been for the past 4 years.
