    :llorona::llorona::llorona:

    Kessler and Abraham were the co favorites in that tournament it was supposed to be a showcase for them to the American public. Ward was seen as filler and schooled the co-favorites in Abraham and kessler with ease I remember being here back then and laughing my ass off at the excuse makers like you. Good times indeed.:lol:

    Ward fought a murderers row at 168 in the super 6 a tournament that he was an underdog in I might add. His resume is great he retired because his body broke down as he said in his documentary. Ward was one of the most mentally tough fighters of his era and it was arguably his best attribute. If he was willing to go to 175 and face kovalev who was at the top of his game a guy he was favored to lose to and get ktfo by then why would he be scared of the rest? He wasn't he just couldn't fight anymore.

    I'm a canelo fan but he needs to fight Benavidez. I don't know why he won't fight him canelo would outbox the guy and win a 8-4 9-3 type of fight.

    He's lying. Because he got a gift and a pisspoor stoppage in his favor, and he knew that streak of luck wouldn't continue.

    Wouldn't fight Bute??? Why didn't Bute get into the super 6 like everyone else?? Ward had just won the super 6 and felt that he hadn't paid his dues not because he was scared of him. My boy froch showed you butes level ward would've done the same. Had Bute beaten froch ward would've fought him but he didn't Bute melted down in grand fashion never to be taken seriously again after. Bute??? Man I respect you as a poster but quit reaching.

    The only thing making sense for me is if he stalls it long enough the Saudis step in and double or triple his purse for the last matchup he's got on the table..

    That said I think we found the only guy these dudes hate more than Canelo.

    He's not lying. He was coming off the biggest win of his career and he could've earned atleast another 20 million had he fought on which is a ton of money for a guy who hadn't earned that much. Who quits boxing with that much money on the table if they can still fight on? I'm sorry I'm not buying it ward was very mentally tough with an iron will I think without a doubt he thought he could beat any fighter in the world at 175 but his body gave out on him. Im sorry but saying ward was scared and lying is a haters argument because he never had a history of ducking guys and showed extreme mental toughness.

    He won't fight him because Benavidez would become the first person to stop him.

    I don't see it bro. Benavidez gets hit too much to best a guy like Canelo who has fought much better opposition. Not only that canelo has an iron jaw no way Benavidez stops him.

    Benavidez has solid defense for a come forward fighter yet never gets credit for it. Canelo and his short arms will have just as difficult a time getting around DB's guard as he did vs. Bivol.

    He's going to load up, reach, and be open for the same return fire counter left that Bivol was hitting him with.

    Benavidez is going to stop Canelo. He's going to hurt him badly downstairs, then finish him upstairs. TKO 11.

    If Canelo clinches and runs away like Plant did, he might survive. He'd be the same bloody mess that Caleb was, though.

    I'd buy that if Canelo hadn't already been in several fights with guys that crack harder than David. And Plant isn't close to on Canelos level, we saw that already. I get the fanboyism or whatever you want to call it but it has to make sense.

    Ward took tough fights but he retired in his prime. He didn't want that smoke at LHW after Kovalev. Protected his 0. He also refused to travel in a tournament where you were supposed to. Took on a weight drained fighter in Dawson. I don't give a damn that Dawson called him out, he could have said nah, you'll br drained.
