So you acknowledge it was not a grueling tournament? That means that Ward is not entitled to an easy fight, right?

Ward was pat of a tournament which left the number 2 on the side line. He cannot use that as an excuse to avoid him after it's finished.

 

Ward thinks he is now a TV fighter and big enough to abandon his titles. I'm not so sure he's there. Ward is not a PPV fighter, is he?

 

his mentor had 50k with Dawson.he will do even less..at least he is stronger than his mentor on one area: low attendance and small fan base...close to 0.

 

Ward has a best future and is the best guy at smw by some distance - this coming from a Kessler fan. I don't really see Bute as a huge threat to Ward. It might be a fight worth watching, but I'm pretty sure Andre would dominate.

Why are you people so stupid? Can't you see that Ward is a liar? Accusing Bute that he doesn't want to fight him...We all heard his statements before and after the S6 final. Guess what?..His next fight will be in Oakland! HAHAHA!

 

Bika fought both and think Bute would win against Ward.
Ward is a boring stay at home fighter who never fought an undefeated champ. He blatantly ducked Bute who was offering him to fight, like usual, in his own backyard in front of his few friends and family.

Ward is elite and could legitimatly be considered #1 at 168. But those are facts.

So true, he sells out in Canada, sold out in Romania and will sell out in England. I like both fighters, in fact I also like Froch, Kessler and my favourite Abraham, but Bute vs Ward must happen! It would be big event even in the United States. Ward is already 28, Bute is 32, they are even born in the same month , so it is the time to clarify things.

 

lol at Showtime commentators saying Ward had stopped Kessler. That went on the scorecards of course.

Ward's headbutts, even if unintentional, look very bad. He was responsible for his head, was he? To his defense, he never did that again. He should not try to come in like that against Bute and I'm sur he won't. A quick step behind by Bute and an uppercut would make him think about it.

 

I think you hype the guy who beat your guy. The version of Kessler Ward fought was not the best one. Ward has never faced a slick and powerful fighter like Bute like Bute has never faced a slick fighter like Ward. Nobody knows what will happen when they meet. Which gameplan will prevail? People say Ward adjusts to his opponents. I'm not so sure. Against Bika, he fought the same way all fight long. Bute did adjust against Bika better than Ward. People say Ward is fastest than Bute. When I watch videos of both men one after the other, I don't see that. I would even say that Bute can deliver a lot of power faster than Ward delivers medium power. Ward is fast compared to Froch but he wouldn't have Froch in front of him. Ward may be better than Bute but saying he would have an easy night is nuthugging stuff.

Anyway, let's just hope they fight so we can be sure of who was the best man of their era. Posters are still asking themselves who was better between Calzaghe and Jones Jr in their prime. I don't want to write hypothetical posts about a Bute-Ward fight that never happened. The idea of it makes me sick.

P.S. Bute must beat Froch first.
