Why do you think Al Haymon had ZERO interest in even thinking about approaching Ward to sign him up. Also Haymon was close with Dan Goosen and I'm sure was privy to the lawsuits and didn't want Ward suing him if were to sign him up.

The statement from today might be Barrera's camp posturing in the media in an attempt to embarrass Ward and therefore get a better deal. That's probably why Ward was upset about the leak to the media.
