If the fighters go around calling others out without being prompted then I agree, but a lot of fighters are just answering questions they are asked. When they are asked in post fight interviews etc if they would fight xyz, they're obviously not going to make themselves look like a p*ssy and say "no I wouldn't fight him, he hits like a mule, my health comes first". A lot of these fighters do want to fight whoever but obviously there is a business aspect to boxing and they leave that side of things to the professionals.

it's obvious to almost everybody that at that stage ward was keeping his name relevant, as evidenced by his inactivity. he's finally taken a step forward with his career, and after a successful comeback will be a viable opponent for the 1st time in a while.

now, try to put your blatant bias against froch aside for a moment, give the man the credit he's due, drop your laughable narrative that he's been ducking ward for the last few years and i'll ask you again: if ward calls him out ringside do you see froch saying no?

Well, we've seen Froch ignore Ward rematch twice now whenever the topic is presented to him. One after bute fight and again after the Kessler rematch.

The thing is, if Froch thought he was capable of beating Ward he would have rematched him a long time ago.

the fact is both times ward was unavailable and the latter occasion was just keeping his name in the mix.

Neither Ward nor Golovkin is a ppv star. They need to get that through their head first thing first.

Are you denying that Hearn has REPEATEDLY said that he has no interest in Froch fighting Ward for exactly the reasons I outlined?

Its not like Hearn has been hiding it. Hes said it in televised interviews and on youtube numerous times.

    Are you saying he didnt?

Ward isnt going to bring in any more money than he did before, so nothings changed

This is Eddie Hearn right? Carl Frochs promoter?

Both times Ward was available and also made it clear that his contract dispute with Goosen was being used as excuse to avoid him.

Hearns also has made very clear that they're not interested in Ward rematch. I understand their reason and I'm not blaming them but act like Froch immune to approaching his career from a business standpoint like every other boxer.

First thing I thought when I saw that photo. Jay looks younger than Andre.

Word is Jay etched Goosen's name out and put Jigga on top.

I wouldn't be surprised if he said something like 'it has to on PPV in Vegas or it has to be in England'

Anyway Ward is unlikely to call out Froch as he has already beaten him. Froch is the one who should be calling out Ward to avenge his loss and take Ward's #1 spot.

I agree with you completely Bub, and I understand how it works. Im just a disgruntled fan who believes PPV has ruined the sport and spoiled fighters into overestimating their worth because a few fighters can acheive great PPV success.

Which is why I never had a problem with either of them fighting Chavez. Of course neither of them is right now. But the amount of money that would be demanded from both sides is more than HBO is willing to give, so it's more than likely going to have to be on PPV, which wouldn't bother me at all.

are you denying ward has been inactive? are you denying that in his only fight back he wanted to test the waters with a sartisan or truax befote settling on rodriguez?

stick hearns' responses to an inactive fighter where the sun don't shine because actions speak louder than words and for the last 3 years froch has acted while ward has spoken, and see if you can answer a simple yes or no question.

do you see froch saying no to ward calling him out ringside?

Froch doesnt make fights, his promoter does.

His promoter has said repeatedly, that

1.Ward doesnt bring in enough money

    2. Ward is too big a risk to fight for low end money.

Has either of those 2 things changed?

And frankly, no, I dont think Froch wants the last fight of his career to be a loss to Ward, ESPECIALLY not in front of his home fans.

Simply calling a guy out doesnt mean Froch will jump at it and fight.

He had no problem ignoring Bika when Bika called him out at his after fight press conference when Bika was WBC champion did he?

Hes a business man, not a guy whose girlfriend is being hit on at a bar.

the 1st time dawson was in the pipeline, the 2nd he was looking for an easier comeback. nothing wrong with that. froch was very interested in a rematch before ward's career took a downturn.
