Of what significance is this to our topic of discussion?

The point of my posts was to merely point out the obsession of ethnicity in the US. And no, I don't give a flying **** about skin color, I have friends of many different ethnic backgrounds, and they all regard themselves as Swedish citizens, as do I.

You're bringing up a whole different topic which is multiculturalism, it has nothing to do with actual skin color.

Completely agree with you Jeff, in Britain it's much less of a big deal. Some communities stay close, and we have our share of racist idiots, but day to day we don't make nearly as big a deal of it. Like this thread, why do people obsess over Ward supporting a Mexican? Him and Guerrero came up together, I'm sure he has nothing against Floyd, he just wants his friend to do well.

Guerrero is also American. The two are from a similar area in California and know each other. Where their ancestors might have come from should have no bearing on the situation.

I root for both because I grew up in California. Glad to hear this nonsense isn't as big of a deal for you.

 

It reaffirms the status quo and keeps people divided and competing for resources along racial lines instead of class lines.

 

The good old divide and conquer. Class warfare doesn't work when economic times are good, but they can always try to split us up by race.
