I dislike him as a fighter but he's still got a good few years left in him, lots of big fights to be made, no need to retire any time soon.

When a fighter starts talking retirement a loss is not far away. Feel bad for Ward, he was real talent but if he retired soon his accomplishments are borderline HOF.

He needs to beat someone greater than Froch and Kessler for his broadcasting career to last. Froch and Kessler will not be remembered well as great fighters. Wards fans are typically guys that watched the super six, but that was just a brief snapshot of the division.

Great fighters need to beat great fighters, or rule the division for an eternity, or blast through a few weight divisions, or have unforgetable battles - Ward has done none of those things, but I think he has the potential to do it.

Ward has a big fight coming up against Stevenson at 175 or even at 168 if he wants it, but it appears that he does not want that fight. Ward lost in court against Goosen, read he is suing again, so he could be tied up for a while anyway..................he should fight the winner of Groves/Froch in UK for huge money fight, but he will only fight in his home town...........

He should retire and just do commentary unless he wants to fight at 175 because there are no fights for him at 68

I'd think about retirement if all I did was fight in my home-town and refuse bouts against top level fighters. Spread the word of the lord Andre, visit Montreal.

He's not that great at commentating, he speaks in a monotone that will put you to sleep. He shoud drain Stevenson and Kolavev down to 168 and/ or Chavez Jr. to fight @ a catch weight of 170. He would probably earn at least 6 million or more for those three fights combined. I cant see him leaving those dollars on the table.

He has to retire. Stevenson would beat the hell outta him.

He's being foolish for saying there are no fights available though.

If Chavez gets past Vera...great fight right there.

Granted, he'd have to travel to Vegas, but so what?
