What he does in the ring is impressive, but not my favourite style to watch. I've never been a fan of all this "he knows all the tricks", "he's the dirtiest player in the game" type of fighters. It's very clever, but not my cup of tea.

As for is personality? He seems stiff, boring and uncharismatic.

Laughable reasoning. Diaconu was unbeaten when he was mandatory for Dawson's belt. He picked the vacant WBC belt because "Bad" Chad had skipped town to fight old men. Dawson only fought Diaconu AFTER the fact, when he was keeping busy for his WBC slot against the Hopkins-Pascal winner. Don't be selective.

In 2009, Chad had beaten Johnson (who he nearly lost to first time out) and Tarver (for the IBF). But unsurprisingly, Dawson decided to drop the IBF rather than face Cloud, who then picked up the vacant belt against, of all people, Johnson.

He opted to face former SMW Jean Pascal, who had beaten Diaconu twice, for a shot at his old WBC belt. He lost clearly.

I don't really care that he beat Hopkins (oh and well done picking what nearly 90% of everyone said, that makes you unique), even if it was in tedious, unimpressive style against a near-50 year old man. Fighters lose, Hopkins has reached the end of the road. That's all - nothing to be upset about.

Fair enough he wants to make the most money he can, but no one should ever claim he'll fight anyone.

Now go and get ****ed, you little *****.

Yeah Dawson beat Diaconu with relative ease, and in a way he didn't feel comfortable in. Diaconu wasn't all that anyways but a decent fighter. He'd beat Cloud as well but as you say they aren't gonna bring more money to table then guys Dawson's fought.

Chad's a good fighter, seems a good guy although bit dim but a guy who's fought some good fighters. Looking back on his wins there slightly better now then they were at the time.

I can see that. But I actually would like a conclusion to the 168 scene. Ward-Bute (if he beats Froch) should happen next for Ward. But he sure doesn't seem overly excited about that fight (pulling a Floyd?).

These guys will move up to 175 later anyways. Who says they can't fight multiple times? They could do it again at 175 with Dirrell there as well.

:good You've got to respect the mans ability and talent but he's not someone I particularly give a **** about until he's actually got a fight scheduled.

Cloud was outjabbed by Clinton Woods, A old and past his prime Clinton. Dawson would beat him with ease. Pascal troubled him cos of the speed, once he became aggressive he started to break Jean.
