:good damn right. after this is bute, and winner of dawson/hopkins. and if hopkins gets pass dawson there's no way he will fight ward. hopkins is only picking fights he thinks he can win. it was very interesting hopkins called out bute and dawson then retirement and left out ward. can't wait for the victory parade for ward when he gets back to the 510!
lol, did you watch the Froch post-fight w/ Ward? Ward looked REALLY nervous, which is odd. Maybe he was caught off-guard on this face-off w/ Froch. He looked uncharacteristically timid.... Looks like Froch is going to maintain his new boxing style, and it may work to a good degree. Unfortunately, in the range game, speed and timing reigns, and Ward has a good edge on that. The reason why Froch wants to stay on the outside, cuz he dont wanna get mauled the hell up inside, ala Green/Kessler. Froch dont have a phonebooth game at all. I think Froch's defensive stance is gonna match up bad against Ward. Ward really likes to do a jump in left hook (ala Tyson), though he is somewhat predictable and overshoots it. But he does use it to close in the distance so he can get his inside game on. Froch needs to train to have his righthand guarding his head, or Ward will unnecessarily land this punch (which he doesnt do proficiently yet) on Froch, score points, and open him up. Needs to block and counter that. As with his new fangled footwork, Froch is gonna depend on it to maintain a distance to keep Ward in No Man's Land, trying to come in, as he predictably did to Glen Johnson. He will intercept and attempt to land combos, disengage and reset the distance. Unfortunately, he's going against the most versatiled boxer in the fighting business. Expect Ward to establish a jab, and remarkedbly the body jab, and body hooks when he closes the distance. Froch depends on his reflex for his defense, but Ward has good timing and anticipation with his punches, and i dont think its gonna look pretty for Froch. I dont anticipate Froch to get KO'd, though there's a possibility that Ward may get to him by wearing him down with body punches, and mentally by using bully tactics. In the end, i think they wont work cuz Froch has proven to be the toughest physically & mentally, but who knows. Nevertheless, i expect Ward to win by a UD. It may be close because Froch isnt afraid to get punched in order to get his offense on. Or, if he gets mentally beaten by speed, timing, and tactics, this may turn out to be YET ANOTHER SHUTOUT for Ward....
ward is gonna make it ugly and win a tactical UD, dont see the fight going any other way unless carl landed a freak bomb and put wards lights out (which i doubt). ward is another one of those fighters who is highly skilled but shite to watch. shame.
lawlz, what a *****-ass hater..... if you're gonna post something, how about something a real boxing fan can take seriously? You insuating there's some kind of Judge conspiracy for Ward? This is a new one, i'll give that to you....
Ward looked SHOOK standing in the ring with Froch after the fight Froch will control Ward and win a comfortable UD
spot on arran, it absoloutely stinks what these ****ers get away with. why the **** was the fight in america lastnight anyway, in a poxy little arena when they could have had 15'000 attending in england. for the good of boxing, i hope ward gets smashed in the final.
I think it's fair to say this is the third biggest fight in boxing. First would be you know who, and until they are both clearly shot it'll always be high on the agenda. Second is Klitschko-Haye. But it might be fair to say by the time this happens (when Klitschko-Haye is over) it will be the biggest fight in boxing. It depends whether you believe Void is really retired Void is void
