clev is easy to beat up without a ref in wales to protect him.

sergey however did it in spite of the welsh mafia.

 

The only thing that ref in Wales did is give Cleverly more brain damage.

 

AGreed that this was the unfortunate end product of the welsh refs cheating, but I do believe I saw him carry Clev to his corner, although I couldn't believe my eyes for several days after. I've never seen such abject cheating outside Cardiff that night.

 

Most of the time a ref tries to save a boxer from being knocked out it just results in a longer beating. I guess sometimes it pays off though.

I heard he was going to pursue Juergen Braehmer next. So that would eliminate Ward as a possible opponent.

Hearn says Clev was going to fight Ward but that cooled off so will now fight Braehmer in Germany.
