I still don't know if Ward wants Kovalev though. Everything seems so lined up.

But Kovalev hits extremely hard. He hurts people.

I'll believe the rumors when Ward signs.

Not the same here. Pacquiao was smaller than Mayweather and far past prime.

Kovalev is bigger than Ward. He's prime right now. And he's probably the hardest puncher p4p in the world right now.

It doesn't matter he's no better than cleverly he's never held a major title like cleverly has. With that said I don't care if kovalev fights chilemba as long as he fights ward after that. Neither one of these guys needs to take on world beaters with a fight with them coming this year both of their opponents are fine.

Kovalev is NOT bigger than Ward.

However, to see it, Ward will have to enter the ring with Kovalev, which we can agree, is in no way shape or form, a certainty. :good

There's nothing wrong with Cleverley as an opponent but it does little to prepare Ward for Kovalev, stylistically they're absolutely nothing alike.

How is Kovalev not bigger than Ward? He'd have to cut off his forearm to make 168 like Ward did.

Chilemba is nothing like Ward either. That's the beauty of it. They go into the fight having to make adjustments to win.

Come on Dino.....watch the Alvarez fight.

Alvarez got generous scoring in a tight fight. Nothing Chilemba isnt accustomed to.

Alvarez is also not in the MARKET for Kovalev as he is being positioned to fight either Beterbiev or Adonis.

Ward outweighed Froch by 6lbs in their fight 6 yrs ago.

He's got a wide shoulder spanse, and a solid upper body.

    Kovalev is lankier.

Yeah, Sergey is likely an inch, maybe 2" taller, but on fightnight, IF, there is a fightnight:lol::lol::lol::lol: and IF.....BIG IF....Ward allows for a fightnight weigh-in, Ward will likely be right at 186-190, and Kovalev about 184-187.

    :thumbsup

Nah, I'd disagree with that, Chilemba's got certain aspects to his style that can prepare for a type of fighter that Ward is whereas Cleverley is literally nothing like Kovalev, I mean he's almost the opposite really.

    You tell me.

Also, Kovalev vs Chilemba is only happening because Ward isn't ready:rofl
If he didn't pull out of the Brand fight in Nov, he'd be fighting Kovalev NEXT.
Thank f*ck for that "knee injury" right?
