Andre Ward vs a prime Gerild Mclellingham

G-Man's one of my faves and I don't even like Ward one bit, I cheer against him in every fight but he schools Mclelland.

 

After the kovalev fights I say Gerald

 

I would have to go for Andre Ward as he is the better boxer of the 2 and so physically strong. Gerard’s power is obviously to be respected and he comes from a great school of boxing the Kronk gym In Detroit, Michigan.

I kind of agree except I think Mclellan was maybe not quite as overrated as you to be honest. I kind of see some parallels between Mclellan and Wilder only Mclellan faced the better comp.

Both were bigged up massively by the US fight press and it took a Brit fighter to come along and bring them crashing back down to earth and no I'm not being gleeful about the sudden end of Mclellans fighting career, although Karma can be a right biatch.

Back on subject though, I think Ward is all wrong for Mclellan and wins by UD or even late stoppage. I think Ward would frustrate the hell out of Mclellan, particularly with his rough house tactics.

If Ward plays Gerild's game, Gerild by handcuff KO. Otherwise, Ward by billygoating Gerild into oblivion.
