Stevenson has a puncher's chance only imo. He has to land that superb straight left of his flush, otherwise Ward wins via wide UD or late KO.
easy work for ward, kova has power and very very underrated boxing ability, stevenson is slick and shows some good defense but wards going to catch him opening up with a far superior IQ everyday of the week. if kova cant blast out ward i dont see stevenson being able so, if he catches ward and puts him down ward has shown us that he has the focus to maintain composure and dig deep to fight on. not sure why this is even a discussion i think after seeing the fight between ward and kova that stevenson will likely line up a couple of bums to keep himself busy and out of contention for a unification.
I think Stevenson beats him. Harder fight stylistically than Kovalev was, Stevenson is a good lick faster than Ward and much harder to hit than Kovalev.
ward already stated he dont wanna talk about stevenson...ward has been avoiding this fight for quite a while back when stevenson was calling him and froch at 168...stevenson even offered to drop back to 168 to fight ward but he wants no part of it since stevenson destroyed his best win in 1 round
Stevenson matches up better with Ward being that he probably can take a couple more of Ward's flush shots than he could Sergei's... That said his southpaw stance won't help his as much Vs. Ward. Plus SOG's str8 left (Throws it on the inside as a southpaw ref: Dawson fight)/Hook (As HBO was calling it). Good fight. Superman can put any moFo to sleep with that bomb tho.
