Andre Ward vs Alexander Brand on Aug 6th

lil shock, Seriously just stop it, you keep jumping on Kov Ward threads banging on about Golovkin and its off key.

Go on a thread about Golovkin and talk about him, there are plenty of them.

Since 1st Jan 2015 Ward has had one less fight but completed more rounds than Kovalev.

So if and when Ward gets banged out I don't want to see people making excuses about Wards inactivity.

5 weeks training camp...while Ward was training this whole time. This kind of attitude really posses me off, it's not that dificult to give your opponent a fair warning and a proper camp.

 

Just as long as he fights Kovalev this year idc who else he fights.

 

Ok we will have to wait and see, if and when Kovalev knocks Ward senseless (and I confident he will) I am sure there will be threads and posts making that very excuse about inactivity.

I wouldn't rule it out, I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if Ward picks up an "injury".

 

I'd be curious to hear Ward's rationale behind picking Brand. He must have his reasons.

I think it was Conte who exposed by Ward does this. Said it's because he tops off his PED use.

 

Their first choice was Shabranssky, and they did try to make that fight.

 

This isnt a good opponent to prep Ward for Kovalev. Better opponents would have been Yunieski Gonzalez, Cleverly, or other top 20 ranked LHWs.

Brand has fought ONCE in 2015, ONCE in 2014. He's 39, his most notable fight was a SD loss to Badou Jack. He's ranked 25th at 168 by boxrec. At the very least Ward could fight a top 25 ranked LHW thats been a bit more active than Brand.

Unless Ward is looking for that 2 million dollar payday for easy work,then to be fed to Kovalev.

 

Its not supposed to be a great match, its supposed to be something to kieep him busy/sharp while everyone waits for the Kovalev match in November
