I haven't been impressed with Andre Ward, maybe because people was trying to compare him to Roy and when i saw him, i didnt see none of the power, a little of the reflexes and on top of that he was rocked and dropeed all within the first 3 or 4 of his early fights. I think Andre Direll clearly has him in power and maybe in hand speed as well...what do u think

Identical records and I haven't seen much of either, but I consider Dirrell's best win over Hanshaw better than Ward's best win over Williams, so I would lean towards Dirrell. He's got a reach advantage aswell.

Everyone in this thread is talking trash, even admitting to not having seen him fight in ages. Andre Ward is a VERY promising fighter, who has improved leaps and bounds since the start of his career. He has absolutely dominated all of his recent fights, not losing a single round. Go watch some fights, and come back with an educated opinion please. Dirrell has looked consistently sloppier, however is coming off an excellent win. Both of these guys are very good. Ward is technically the better fighter, Dirrell with more natural ability, although both are very good in this regard. Provided the chin of Ward can hold up, i would pick him to take a decision.

I have to disagree with this. From Kost fight on, Dirrell has not really looked sloppy. Before the Kost fight, he had a tendency to get wild. Now, he his much more under control.

Dirrell has beat better opposition so far so he gets the nod.

I thought Dirrell was the better prospect when they were fighting at the Olympics, but not so sure now. Andre has a Kendall Holt quality that makes me suspect he's going to have trouble staying away from punchers for 12 rounds.

Ward is technically better, albeit not as naturally gifted. They both are good prospects, though.

    i'd favour dirrell i think.

just a bit more awkward and slick.

i trust dirrell's chin that bit more as well.

i'd like to see both guys in the title mix at 168 sooner rather than later. :bbb
