    I guess I'll go against the grain here. I think Ward is a helluva fighter and I also think he's shown vast improvement compared to his early fights. He's learned to sit down on his punches, he's not getting caught by potshots, and damn is he fast when he turns it on.

    As an accomplished amateur and gold medalist he has been under heavy scrutiny and a lot of guys have wilted under all that attention. He hasn't.

    He's progressing nicely and seems right on track for more good things.
