The version of Beterbiev who beat Gvozdyk is the best light heavyweight I have ever seen.

Hard to argue with that. I have been watching boxing since 2004 so although i love RJJ, his peak came before my time.

I agree. I think some people are basing their opinion on todays 40 yr old Beterbiev. Ward has never once produced a performance like that against that calibre of boxer. He's an embarrassment. Every big fight he had he groped, elbowed, low blowed or headbutted his opponent.. Get him on neutral soil with a fair ref & his career would have panned out differently i am certain of it. Prime Beterbiev breaks him up.

Ward vs Bivol.... Ward 55% Bivol 45%

Bivols a great fighter but I dont think hes quite dynamic enough, physical enough or punches hard enough to be favored over Ward for me personally. It would be a pure boxing match and I do slightly favor Ward in that. Winnable for Bivol for sure, but I simply favor Ward to edge out a decision.

Ward vs Beterbiev : Ward 5% Artur 95%

Ward vs 40 year old Beterbiev : Ward 30% Beterbiev 70%

If you wanted to create Wards kryptonite in a fighter, for me one form of that would come as Beterbiev. Ward doesnt have the power to make Artur respect him, doesnt have the activity and pace to really win the rounds on the backfoot like Bivol did, and doesnt have the physicality/strength to control Artur inside. He has a susceptible chin in this matchup and I just think the deck is stacked against him here in terms of what Ward possesses to overcome his opponent here. I think it would be a credit to Ward if he could make the final bell.

Obviously against this 40 year old Artur his chances go up slightly but I still dont think its enough to come out the victor.
