Canelo's best weight is at 168... he has a great punch and is fast... ward is a great 168 he is one of the best that ever existed... both fighters in their prime

I won’t say 168 is his best weight 168 is where he’s fought his weakest opposition so he looked like a monster..

    JMW- Floyd, Lara, Trout
    MW- Cotto, GGG, Jacobs
    SMW- Smith, BJS, Plant
    LHW- Kovalev and Bivol

Think about the only group of fighters he’s looked like a monster against.. That’s how weak that 168 run is..

Canelo is a LMW. Ward I'd in an easy fight

I don’t think Ward has the power to keep Canelo off him, he has some boxing ability to do well for a while until he would have to resort to dirty tactics.

I’d say its a 50/50 between two slightly above average fighters.

Ward would beat any version of Canelo 100 out of 100 times, even now if he chose to come out of retirement.

This is ridiculous. Ward would only beat any version of Canelo 99 out of a 100 times.

Ward is a stylistic nightmare for canelo.

I agree with others clearing 168 when the quality simply isn't there doesn't mean that much.
Canelo won very controversial fights at 154 and 160 so thinking he beats an elite at 168 is not based on evidence.
Roy. Joe and Andre all beat Ginger without too much trouble.

It doesn't matter. Ward like bivol and pbf have skills that can exploit canelos flaws.

I also think Calzaghe would've given him fits as well at 168 with his flurries workrate and speed.

Ward.. in reality it's actually hard to gauge how good Canelo is at super middleweight because his opposition is terrible… If you look at plant, Saunders and Smith they haven't beaten anybody… And one of them is a career middleweight.. all were pretty inactive as well.. The trinket belts look good but there's nothing behind them… I mean who they beat other than a shot Groves & an old Truax? No one.. he jumped up & fought them fair play but in reality Smith bottled it & was coming off a loss* & cringe hands Plant was outboxing him anyway
