Now Canelo is becoming No.1 Best Fighter P4P. Andre Ward just can't stay home to let this happen. He has to do something to stop this. Can this dream match come true? Who will beat who?
BTW, don't forget that both fighters beat Kovalev by way of T.K.O.

This fight is never going to happen, but even if it does, Ward destroys Alvarez. Ward is a nightmare for any style out there to be honest and giving him size, height and reach advantages is absolutely disastrous. Fighters like Ward you lose against even if you had all the advantages, imagine the opposite...

I think that this dream match can happen sooner or later when the money is right. Why not

I don’t see Ward returning to be honest. He has been out for 3 years now and isn’t showing any signs of interest. The last time he was asked about this(literally a day or two before the Alvarez/Kovalev fight) he laughed it off and made it rather clear he’s not returning, even for that payday. He also further confirmed that he was offered a lot during his retirement and still turned down all offers.

I think Canelo beats Ward honestly. Ward has been inactive and isn't even the same guy he was at 168. Canelo is special.

Ward would manhandle Canelo and knock him out around the 10th round.

Ward may not be flashy, but he comes to fight and he comes to win.

No love taps jabs and no backing up every minute of the fight

Ward might even get a little dirty, but Canelo gets kOd either way

    WAKANDA!!!

Would have to pick Ward but I was one of those idiots who predicted an easy win for Kovalev against Canelo. If Ward is as good as he is made to be, I would expect a master class ala FMJ vs Canelo.

I also tend to think Ward isnt coming back, not even for the Canelo payday. It's quite hard for a fighter who has been out of it for several years to achieve the level he had prior to retiring. He runs a real risk of losing at this point because inactivity and age are real things. When he was still in shape Ward would have handled Canelo, his style is simply horrible for ginger ... and I'm one of the guys that doesn't like Ward.

When did 2 years and 5 months turn into 3 years?

Ward will beat him him convincingly imo as even in that odd looking fight the other day, when Kovalev had the legs and used his height and reach Canelo had no answers.
For all those who were genuinely puzzled about that fight and in some cases worried for Canelos health. The actual answer turned out to be a Kovalev who in 90 days forgot how to put anything on his jab, that’s right a jab as all other shots were in the locker.
So given the above I don’t think it’s gonna happen as Ward is never gonna lay down and lose and Canelo isn’t gonna fight a light heavyweight under normal circumstances and quite frankly he doesn’t have to as he now has a belt at the weight.

He’d still beat Canelo imo although his age has to be a factor.

I think Ward still wins now. Too good and too big. If they were the same size then it gets more interesting.

I'll take the retired guy that Hopkins said he'd never fight. Ever!
