Ward needs to earn it first. Beating a weight drained Chad Jawson doesn't give you a shot at the SMW cash cow :-(.

Froch has earned his rematch by beating Bute and Kessler so he is clearly the most deserving of a shot at Ward.

Having said that Froch will get beaten again, he simply doesn't have the style or skills to beat Ward.

Not particularly interested in seeing this again. It was one-way traffic and the cards only looked respectable as Ward took his foot off the gas late. Suppose the only fight that would create the same excitement for Froch would be Ward at home so I understand why they are looking at this, plus the shot at reversing the last result. No chance though, Ward schooled him, unlike Froch v Kess 1 which was fairly even and the style match-up ensured would be another tough battle, something Froch thrives on. Think Ward should travel though if Froch is hellbent on this, it would be a repeat of the first fight whether it's in England, USA or the Moon

It's funny too how people talk about Ward clinching. Froch was doing a hell of a lot of holding in that fight, holding onto his arms, punching well after the bell.

    Froch fans are such hypocrites.

So what is your opinion on rematches after one sided beatings?

It's bull****, but if Froch and his fans want it that badly, Ward might as well oblige.

Well what froch is saying is that he wants ward to lower himself to his level.

This is exactly the sort of bull**** comment that has made this such a ****ing shitty subject.
How did he look a dumbass? How many people look good against Floyd?
You're talking about a guy who is the ultimate neutraliser, and he outmuscled and outboxed Froch in what should've been his coming out party(if Americans actually gave a ****) but are you saying it was only because Froch was a dumbass?
No, I know what you're going to say,but he didn't look like a dumbass. He was outclassed by one of the best boxers of the last 20 years.
I'll bet you're the type that throws the coward word around freely about boxers as well.

    And a question from someone who has Ward in his favourite active fighters list;
Who should he fight next given that he said in a UK publication only a couple weeks ago that he wants to stay at 168?
Chavez? You think that guy could improve when he needs to worry even less about his weight than he does now? You think his handlers have kept him at 160 for so long because he's going to be better and sharper at 168?

The convention is that a badly beaten contender can have another title shot if they rebuilt their credentials as a challenger from the ground up.

    Froch has clearly done this.

Therefore Ward should offer him a fight, assuming he still wants it.

Let Dirrell have some meaningful fights then, and work his way to the top spot of the organisations of which Froch is champion.
Dirrell is a nobody now who has no interest in the sport and think nothing of pissing away immense talent.
Change the record.does every top name who was troubled by a nobody need to give them a rematch? Because that's what Dirrell is now,an irrelevant nobody.
Don't usually like derogatory nicknames but Turbo calling him "dirrellevant" was spot on.
Don't see Broner pushing for a PDL rematch do you? And PDL has far more relevance than Dirrell.
It was an ugly fight where Froch got a kind decision against a guy who has about as much importance in that division as Darnell Boone.

I can't see anything going differently second time. Ward is better in Froch's strengths to begin with.

Britons are eager for 'big fight vibe' in their domestic media; regardless of it being proven stylistic mismatch.

...but I guess it happens and I will be watching.
