    He is a classy guy.

Does that mean he wasn't stupid in how he approached this, failing to give himself a chance at negating Ward's biggest strength due to sheer strategic negligence?

The fact that he composed himself in a humble manner means he shouldn't be criticized for blowing the opportunity of his lifetime by not training in the one area that was crucial to train in to have a fighting chance?

Great performance from Ward. Roughing up Froch on the inside was the right thing to do but there were times when he was staying there a bit too long and took unnecessary shots but all in all an excellent P4P performance, he neutralized Froch's offense and made him look like an ordinary fighter. Ward will go places, the sky is the limit. Bring on Bute!

Ward is very advanced in the area of pushing back opponents into the ropes ; also he uses his arm to unlock their defence; he is so advanced in those areas that Froch couldn't have had any plan that would've worked against Ward (this taking in account his inferior speed )

I tip my Raider cap to Carl Froch. He's a gritty fighter with a granite chin. He just got outboxed by a Champion and was gracious in defeat. No shame in that :good

Froch earned his status. No need to downgrade the comeback kid. Froch is dangerous until the end and seems to fight with more energy in the last rd than the first? Strange dude.

Team slick black american back on top baby. Now Pac has to step up and take his medicine for a total slick black cleansweep. Peterson was in the house.

It was a good scrap, actually. The last two rounds had the "crowd" (maybe five or six dozen of us) on its feet.

Jesus :patschHe wasn't Stupid no. He gave it his best and lost to the favourite, he gave credit to Ward yet you still find things to criticize him for.

Most everyone was getting drinks after getting hit by Kariuki's mouthpiece.

Its not criticism for his in ring performance. Its for his preparation, or lack of, for Ward's particular tactic of choice.

    It sure was!
1st round was a jab fest. I gave that one to Kariuki.
2nd round was a huge war with lots of body work.
3rd round had Miranda bring it upstairs and rocked.
4th round had Miranda backing off and, I suppose, forcing Kariuki to come forward and work. I gave that one to Kariuki, too.
5th round had Kariuki go for broke and get his mouthpiece knocked out of the ring, as he twisted like a corkscrew going down. The ref didn't do much to keep Miranda in the neutral corner, so the 2nd knockdown was really quick and made a woman sitting behind me cry. The stoppage later on was a bit late, but damn impressive.

...:pc Thanks for laying it down, IB. Sounds like a shame about two of the score cards.

The postponement screwed up the attendance pretty badly. The advertising was sloppy and some still had the earlier date on it.

Flying to the US in October is one thing. Flying in a week from Christmas, after hours of convincing the airline to honor the ticket, is another.
