    ww

Ward foot speed keeps him away from the CObra's Jab.. Froch's Jab is stiff and he has great reach but if he wants to hit Dre with it, it has to be fast going out and comming back in.. if he leaves that jab out there to long he gonna get countered all night..

I wonder how froch handles things when Dre switches to southpaw.. then back to orthadox.. flipping between the 2 to set traps.. If Froch is any good as his word and his fans word.. he will be able to match the Chess game Ward is gonna throw at him..

I read somewhere about Dre torn ACL taking some of the steam off of his punches.. thats injury happend a while ago.. it has been said that his power that he had pre torn ACL returned around the Abrahamn Fight.. the statement above makes me wonder if Froch is going to go into the ring and think that Wards gloves are filled with feathers.. Thats Why I voted KO.. Virgil Hunter and Wards #1 Gameplan is to stop Froch... Ward will be dialed in and focused... I think Mr Intensity KO's Froch...

If both show each other too much respect and fight cautiously or defensive by their standards, I give Ward(the smarter boxer imo) the UD. If they are willing to go to war and leave it all in the ring. Froch(better brawler) by mid to late KO.

Froch can't win a decision, the judges are owned by SOB! The ref is owned by SOB! It's SOB"s tournament! SOB refused to fight in the tournament unless he got all his fights in his own turf. All the other fighter have to travel long distances. Plus, SOB would not allow Bute in his own personal tournament!

Actually as a fighter, I like Butes style better than Froch or Ward but I think Ward kicks Frochs ass. Froch just dont impress me. To me , He just got gatekeeper skills.

If there's an intentional headbutt that causes a cut that ends the fight, hopefully the referee will be fair and disqualify Ward.

The headbutt that ended Ward-Kessler was blatently intentional.

Ward would have to get hurt repeatedly by Froch for him not to try to fight on the inside and then box at a distance. I dont see Froch being that skillful.

I have Ward winning, however I think it will be a very competitive fight and I'm not counting Froch out.

If Froch should win, I'll bet he takes his belt back to the UK and fights the next 1-2 fights in Nottingham where the judges will show him much love.

Ward will win, may even stop him (Don't laugh)

Would love to be wrong and see Froch pull it off.

Yes, Froch will have had 5 of 6 fights in foreign countries. He deserves home advantage for a change.

In contrast, Ward has had all of his past six fights in his home state of California.

Froch said that if Ward gets rough and dirty he'll give the ref a chance to handle it, and if the ref doesn't he will. I've wanted to see Ward fight Froch for a long time. I believe Carl is one of a handful of guys who would make Ward sorry he tried dirty tactics.

Here are a few "intangibles" to consider.

    1) Froch knows how it feels to be forced to dig deep, and save your world title (Taylor fight.) Ward does not.

    2) Froch knows how it feels to lose a world title (Kessler fight.) Ward does not.

    3) We know Froch can get his ass kicked for the first two-thirds of a fight, dig deep, come back and win (Taylor fight.) We do not know how Ward would respond to serious adversity.

The 3 points above may prove meaningful in this fight. Carl's best chance is to jump ugly right from the opening bell. Don't try to win a boxing match. Force a pier six brawl, and find a way to hurt Ward inside the first three rounds.

I actually thing the two guys with the best chance to beat Ward have already been eliminated. For a variety of reasons I think JT at his best would score a clear UD over Ward, and Glen Johnson would love Wards mauling and brawling style.

    1. I don't really rate that. Being dangerously close to drop your stock big time, so big that you may fight for peanuts and end your career, because you lost your title and might loose the next fight, that;s what I'll rate.

    2. I don't rate that either because he didn't provoked what happen to Taylor, it happen because Jermain had stamina problems, because his team told him to push hard when he was close to the bottom of his tank and when he was leading on the cards. I say it was luck, but luck that Froch been good enough to reach it ( others could not )

Froch does have on his side the experience of being the less skillful fighter and still winning the fight( Dirrell, Taylor ) and the experience of being really close but loosing because he did not dig deep enough (Kessler) that will stick with him.

That's why we call them "intangibles" bro! We could debate these points for weeks, and never come to a conclusion. Only the fight, and how it plays out, will answer our questions.

I partially agree on the Taylor fight. Ozell Nelson told JT he needed to win the last two rounds BIG, and Jermain ran his gas tank dry in that war that was round 11.
