Thought you'd gone. Glad you're still here though. I think Froch would find this fight more to his liking than Dirrell. I'll see how Ward does v Kessler and let you know :good

So much for "I'm done with boxing"

This fight will never happen, since Froch has Kessler next and then AA, and it's very possible that he'll lose both and get put out. If it does happen, I'd expect the same kind of thing as Dirrell vs. Froch, but a clearer decision win for Ward and maybe even a stoppage. I think Froch really showed how vulnerable he is on Saturday (if people hadn't already seen how hittable he was).

Froch. Ward wouldnt be as negative as Dirrell was. I think he'd try and trade with the Cobra on a couple of occassions before being KO'D!

Ward. Speed, skill, and he WILL make the attempt to take Froch out. In fact, I think it's an easy fight.

Ward by decision. Froch is slow and easy to hit, Ward is a little more seasoned than Dirrell and can fight moving in different directions and at different angles making life difficult for the Cobra basically Wards boxing skills are superior to Carls doubt that he is goin to allow Carl to fight the Slugfest that he wants

I don't know enough about Ward to comment. I think some people are being a little too harsh on Froch, he fights well when his opponent tries to push the action...but doesn't do so well when he is forced to fight someone with good defence who is unwilling to engage.

 Is this some type of new school rule...If you dont trade with a brawler then you're some type of coward...So I guess the likes of Vitali, Wlad, Ali, Cotto, Ray Leonard, and many other greats are considered cowards according to you...If you fight off of your backfoot then you must be a coward?:patsch

What in God's name does this mean? I hear Froch fans repeating the phrase ad nausem. He was negative. His negativity was palpable. What in the hell are you guys talking about? Do you even know?

I think it is a new rule, Rudyard. Froch fans now expect every single Froch opponent to stand stupidly in front of the guy and go at it like Rock em Sock em Robots. And we all know why that is. It's because Froch is such a mediocre talent, a limited fighter, that he can't beat a good boxer any other way. "I'm a fighter. I'm a warrior." Well, this isn't a medieval joust. In boxing you actually use your talents and skills to win fights, rather than just having only one way to fight. No wonder Calzaghe rebuffed this guy with such extreme prejudice...he truly wasn't worth his time.

It's simple: Ward hits Froch but Froch is too slow to land anything on Ward. This goes on for about 7 or 8 until Froch gets TKO'd.

Andre Ward is very similar to Joe Calzaghe.

I say Ward late stoppage.... Froch is too slow too wide doesnt have any balance, I say ward out boxes him easily the first 6 or 7 and stops him any time after that.... Frochs chin IMO is over rated.

The casual audience over here is harking back to Hagler/Minter.

Ward is solid, with enough pop 2 keep u honest. I don't think he can hit as hard as Kessler, but who knows if he's commiting to his shots...anyhow, Andre would make Froch look amateurish, but Carl has heart and a really good chin and is durable with thumping blows. UD12 for the Oakland native. I'll give Froch 1 rd. AW is just too polished and gifted for Froch, BUT any mistake would put him OUT!
