Weight won't be too much of an issue here IMO. Dawson can make 168 or he wouldn't have agreed to it. Ward was always going to move there he'd've fought him eventually, I think its about Dawson wanting to beat the S6 winner at 168.

Are both titles at stake here?

I see the Bradley-Alexander comparisons; this is one for the purists.

Excellent point about Dawson and distance from Slip; this is the key as it was in Bradley v Alexander. Ward is very clever and will fight in a way that maximises his strengths and Dawson's weaknesses - namely, distance. I think Ward will 'ambush' him.

Dawson is a busted flush. His glaring flaws play into Ward's supremely rounded game.

You are such a tool. Ward's greatest asset is his size? He doesn't hit hard enough against a proven chinny fighter like Chad?

Do you just make **** up and hope it's true?

It will be a issue, if you asked Usain Bolt to drop 7 pounds. When he is already lean and ripped at the weight, it will affect his physical performance.......

Look at how ****ed Oscar De La Hoya was when he went back down to 147 to face Manny Pac.

Dawson was amped up and got carried away after his win after Bernard Hopkins......has he ever fought at 168..? when did he fight at 168, when he was a teenager..?

He made a little bit of a mistake, but i honestly don't think Andre Ward wanted to face Chad Dawson at 175.

Chad Dawson deserves big credit for making this fight.

Why would both titles be at stake..? Ward is not fighting at 175.........THEY SHOULD NOT BE BOTH AT STAKE.

Ward has never been in with an athlete of this caliber. Dawson holds all the edges physically size, speed, power. I'm very intrigued to see how Ward deals with a bigger more talented man.

It is Ward's fault. He could have insisted it be at 175. He wanted the weight drain to take something out of Chad and it's good match making on his part.

I also read on here that Ward and Dawson had been talking about the fight and Chad was supposed to call him out in the post fight interview.

    Opposite

Dawson should not have been so quick to agree to 168 , the blame lies with him

If a guy offers to let you rob his house, and you knowing it's wrong do it anyway, are you not at fault? Of course you are. Just because someone offers you something doesn't mean you take it.

What sort of a comparison is this ???? :nut

Ward is strong at the weight if Dawson opens negations with , " I'm willing to come to 168 " , what do you think he's going to do :deal

Like Sergio being willing to come to 154 even though he can't make that weight comfortably anymore. It would be a cherrypick win for Floyd if he did it.

It is Ward's fault for accepting and Chad's fault for offering.
