Id be willing to bet my house on the fact that if any fighter offered a potential opponent a fight " in there true weight class " not a single one of them would say " hold on Buddy thats not fair , let me come up to your weight "

Got to give props to Chad BTW, didn't need to take this fight. Didn't have to show his cards as Slip puts it. Whether it's a stupid decision we will find out come September 8th but this kid wants to fight the best.

I like how Scully spoke in the interview (thanks for posting btw), He's very thoughtful and stays classy unlike Hunter who of late seems to be getting into the habit of trashing and agitating opposition. Tactical of course but not my cup of tea personally.

So Chad's going to fight from outside, I'm going to have a think. 4 days off work yes!!! time to chill and maybe just maybe i'll get a chance to post up a decent analysis.

I have a sneaky feeling Ward is going to dominate Dawson and win all 12 rounds.

Why should he insist on it, when Chad agreed to pretty much everything. I really don't see how anyone could lay the blame at Wards door here. If Chad insisted on Ward moving up and Ward refused then i would understand. Credit to Dawson for making the negotiations smooth, but Ward did what anyone would do.

I have to say that would surprise me if either guy dominated like that. I see this as a 8-4 at the most type of fight in favour of Ward.

What was wron with it? A guy puts himself at a clear disadvantage...and disadvantage you already know about, and you accept it anyway. How is that right? I've already said it was very smart of him to take advantage.

Chad offering and agreeing to go down in weight is equivalent to burgling someone's house? lol

Like i said though. I shouldn't really talk when it comes to poor analogies, as i have a penchant for them.

The fact of the matter is, the conventional thing to do is to move up in weight and face Chad Dawson at 175.

David Haye moved up to Heavyweight, and won the heavyweight title at heavyweight...

Floyd Mayweather moved up to Welterweight and the beat guys at their strongest weights...

Fact of the matter is, Andre Ward gets little credit from me in this fight. And Chad Dawson has everything to gain, he will be fighting at a weight class he has not fought at in over 6 years. This is no laughing matter, it is a serious challenge...fighters in the past have attempted to revisit old weight classes after their bodies had matured and became mature at the higher weights......and failed or looked completed ****.

For a guys like Chad Dawson who has fought as high at CW, this weight will be a factor.

Andre Ward cannot claim he has beaten a light heavyweight if he so happens to win this fight, and the light heavyweight title should not be a on the line.

If Floyd Mayweather was to agree to fight Canelo at 147, there would be uproar...!!!!

Number one super middleweight fighting the number one light heavyweight. This is the real deal. Although I don't see their styles meshing very well. Neither are particularly exciting. Ward will get inside Dawson and stay there imo.

I'm looking forward to the fight, but I can't see it being a classic. I've no doubt it'll go 12 & Ward will win by UD.

I fancy Ward strongly in this matchup either at Super Middleweight or Light Heavyweight. Dawson challenged Ward and said he would come down to Super Middleweight. He thinks he can have his way with Ward but is in for a rude awakening as everyone who fights Ward discovers.
